One of our most popular sewing patterns, appreciated for its simplicity and easy, beginner-friendly design.

The Clara dress is inspired from Victorian chemise dresses with a modern twist. Clara features 3/4 length dramatic puff sleeves with elastic cuffs. The sleeves are designed to be worn on the shoulders, but also look pretty off the shoulder (breast-feeding friendly!). The bodice has two channels of elastic at your underbust and waist. The skirt is A-line shaped and has hidden side seam pockets. Clara is reversible, one neckline is higher than the other, wear the lower neckline in the front or in the back.

Clara was my best selling ready-to-wear design during the S/S2021 and S/S2022 collections.

Sewing difficulty
The pattern is beginner friendly. There is no zipper as the dress uses elastic ribbon to go over your head. You should be able to sew casings for the elastic. The pockets are optional.

Fabric suggestions
Choose a middle weight fabric with structure such as cotton, linen, cotton, linen/viscose blend, linen/cotton blend, cotton/viscose blend. A softer and drapery fabric will give you less volume.

Fabric usage
The layout is designed for fabric 130 cm (51”) wide. The pieces are arranged efficiently to minimize waste, but we recommend buying a little extra fabric to account for shrinkage, print alignment, or cutting adjustments.

Metric EU34 - EU50:
Dress: 3.35 m - 3.67 m

Pattern tester feedback
Mel: "I absolutely love my new Clara dress. It fits so well and looks as good as (if not better than) the dresses I've seen in stores lately. This is the first pattern I have sewn from Silversaga and found the instructions straight forward. There were a few new techniques I learnt from sewing this dress, but I believe it would suit beginners. I made it in one day and can't wait to make another! Thank you for such a beautiful pattern."

Marta: "I love my Clara dress. It is so comfortable to wear, effortless and romantic. Another beautiful, well-drafted pattern by the talented designer behind Silversaga."

Alexis: "Well written for both a beginner and advanced seamstress. The end result is a gorgeous dress that can be dressed up or down depending on your vibe!"

Cayden: "This sewing pattern comes together quick and easy and the end result is so beautiful! There are many ways to use this pattern to create different looks so you’re getting multiple patterns in one!"

Jessa: "This dress was such a pleasure to sew and came together so quickly. It was very satisfying to watch the fabric gather with every stitch of the elastic. It's a romantic silhouette that can be dressed down or up. A huge plus that it's so comfortable to wear!"

Katie: "Another dream design from Jessica. The Clara dress is fun to sew, easy to make and results in the most beautiful garment! It could be made in a day, or two afternoons. There is so much scope for customization. I sewed mine as per the pattern this time but I already have plans for a sleeveless version with drawstrings and elastic casing. The dress itself is effortlessly lovely and incredibly photogenic. My floral version is my new favorite dress!"

Emily: "I loved sewing this gorgeous dress. With only 4 pattern pieces, and thorough instructions, it was a quick and intuitive sew. The final product is an elegant modern silhouette that feels wonderful to wear!"

Caitlin: "A beautiful, romantic dress pattern. As a relatively new sewist I found it straight forward and a pleasure to sew! The perfect simple pattern that makes you feel amazing."

Mai: "The pattern is a beautifully designed dress; I’m happy to have the opportunity to test the pattern; I have plans to make more dresses in different colors; I love how there are only 4 pieces of pattern to cut, and the instructions and graphics are easy to follow; I recommend this pattern for anyone."

Suna: "This is such a beautiful dress which comes together so quickly and is a great project for beginners. There's only four pattern pieces which makes the cutting out very quick. The instructions are very clear and include useful tips along the way to make sure you get the best finish and fit. I absolutely love wearing it - it's so romantic and flowy. I also like how you can wear it both ways depending on whether you want a lower neckline or not."

Fena: "What a easy and breezy dress to make! It’s quick to complete and incredibly satisfying once you’re done. And it comes with pockets!"

I’m a little disappointed.
Format: Kindle
I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.

Vale is an 8 month pregnant omega working as a waitress at a strip club and a cam girl. She starts to get very creepy vibes from a regular at the club, and her baby daddy ghosted her. She has had an online relationship with a man named Bishop through her cam girl status. One night, bishop was paying to watch her sleep and ansthe creepy regular Andrew break in and watch her sleep he tells vale to come to him at his business now. She flees and finds herself at a large security company with some.hot of alphas who are there to help her. This imegaverse is a little different than I have read, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Vale is not a traditional omega she was raised by a single beta mom, and the alphas are not normal alphas they have never really loved pack life. But they are ruthless mercenaries. They need her, and she needs them. I love the aspect of the stalker and now the plot twists at the end, so so good. Sometimes, it seemed a little slow and stale mated, but since this a duet, I think It was just her starting to have Vale get to know her alpha suitors. Cliffhanger for sure with this one.

That ending 😫
Format: Kindle
I fell into a false sense of security and really thought this was gearing towards a happy ending. Then I realized there’s no work they don’t punish Andrew. I really liked Vale’s character. I don’t normally read books with pregnancy but going into this knowing she was pregnant made it more enjoyable for me. I loved Bishops devotion to her and her happiness. I also loved that Holt and Mercy couldn’t fight their attraction to her. I love scent matches so very much. I’m so curious to see how this duet will end up. And I need to pay more attention and notice that a book I’m starting is a duet to begin with lol

oh wow
Format: Kindle
I just knew there was something about Cooper! I’m wondering if he’s about to be included but damn I’m glad he’s at least not a rapist and creepy guy, he just got called on assignment and had to go! This should be interesting! She’s gonna run and then what’s his face is gonna grab her. I’m worried! Wow that was a great book and cliffhanger! Loving this!

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5
